Today [Sunday, February 22] I went out to take a panorama of Lower Table Rock north of the Rogue River a few miles north of Medford. Utilizing a point and shoot digital camera, and a new Gigapan motorized panorama mounted on a video tripod, I took 48 images of this geographic feature. Downloaded to my PC, the images were stitched together by automated software, and then I corrected contrast and cropped the panorama in Photoshop CS3, and saved to a JPG file. I probably should have saved to a TIF but didn’t think about it because I was so excited over my first successful pan shot.<\/p>\n
The resulting image was then uploaded to the gigapan.org sharing site.
